Management Team

John JohnsonJohn E. Johnson, CEO, is the creator of the 60 Minute Strategic Plan process and has been professionally associated with strategic planning for over 50 years. On graduating from the University of Western Ontario (Canada’s equivalent to the Harvard Business School), Johnson was recruited by Unilever, the world leader in consumer packaged goods, where he was Brand Manager responsible for planning and nationally marketing world-famous brands such as Dove, Lux Toilet Soap, Lifebuoy, and Sunlight. After eight years at Unilever, Johnson was recruited to Levi Strauss & Co. in San Francisco, where for 20 years, on behalf of Foote, Cone & Belding, he managed the advertising and marketing activity for all of Levi’s U.S. apparel brands. Thereafter, for the next 14 years Johnson functioned as a chairman facilitator for Vistage International (formerly The Executive Committee), an organization comprised of 13,000 CEOs in 15 countries. Additionally, Johnson has been a strategic management consultant and speaker helping CEOs and their management teams for over 20 years.

Anne Marie SmithAnne Marie Smith, President, has over 22 years of experience as a successful consultant, manager, business owner, and professional writer. Before joining 60 Minute Strategic Plan, Smith co‑founded and was President of a business communications company. Smith began the company in 1995 and was instrumental in building it into a high‑growth, successful venture with over 50 employees. During her tenure, the company was on Inc magazine’s 500 Fastest‑Growing Privately Held Companies list for two years. Smith sold the business in 2004 and joined 60 Minute Strategic Plan, Inc. as a partner in April of 2005. Smith is co‑author of the 60 Minute Strategic Plan book as well as the book Second Bloom: 10 Steps to Reinvent, Rejuvenate, and Realize a New Life (Kaabrah Publishing, 2009). A dynamic speaker and instructor, Smith’s passion is helping businesses and individuals to achieve and excel. Smith holds a BA in communications.

Jenny CapellaJenny Capella is the owner and founder of The Capella Group, an innovative business connections and consulting firm. Her custom forged partnerships and advisory services result in increased revenue and client portfolios and farsighted strategic and tactical solutions. Over the course of a diverse 28‑year career in human relations and business development, Jenny has proven to be a skilled executive, visionary entrepreneur, and pioneering solution provider. She has worked as a national award-winning business banker at US Bank, served numerous times as interim departmental director for various Washington firms, and consulted executives locally and internationally. Jenny is a certified in the 60 Minute Strategic Plan and the Birkman Method®. Her extensive training includes crisis intervention, communication, team development, and systems design. She is currently completing a book based on her highly requested seminar on creating successful advisory teams.

Douglas JohnstonDouglas Johnston is the President and Founder of 2Transition, LLC, a consulting firm that provides contract executive consulting, leadership development, and merger & acquisition services. An executive with more than 25 years of experience, he provides a unique blend of hands‑on experience with business acumen. After a successful career at Xerox Corporation, he has held several executive positions leading organizations that provide consulting, call center, technology, market research, and fulfillment services.

Since striking out on his own nearly 10 years ago, Doug has worked with several leading organizations to advise executives and develop leaders. He is recognized as an engaging speaker with strong team‑building and facilitation skills. He holds a BA with honors in management science and has completed graduate studies in psychology, statistics, and quality management.

Sandra SellaniSandra Sellani—Author, consultant, and keynote speaker Sandra Sellani is Principal of The Sellani Group Brand Strategists, a full‑service Newport Beach, California‑based consultancy that specializes in helping companies build, leverage and maximize the value of their brands. The firm offers brand strategy consultation and design services including the creation of websites, brochures, sales materials, logo and corporate identity packages, public relations, and search engine optimization. Sandra is the former Vice President of Marketing for Sperry Van Ness International, Inc. a commercial real estate brokerage. During her five years with the company, it grew from nine markets in three states to more than 165 markets in 36 states, and from 100 to 1,000 associates nationally. Revenues grew from $15 to $130 million and Sandra and her team won more than 30 awards for marketing, public relations and communications. Sandra’s award‑winning book, What’s Your BQ? (Brand Quotient™) launched to #2 in Marketing/Product Management, #7 in Branding, and #12 in Marketing on Amazon.com.

Sandra is a member of the Association for Strategic Planning and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). She holds an executive MBA from Pepperdine University and resides in Newport Beach, California.

David WitkowskiDavid T. Witkowski is an independent consultant with over 25 years of experience as a technology and business leader in the wireless industry. In 2006, David led business development worldwide for wireless vertical markets at Cadence Design Systems. During 2003 to 2005, he developed strategy and led technical teams for Cadence’s focus account team, which achieved sales of over $150M. David led applications engineering worldwide at Xpedion Design Systems (now Agilent) and was responsible for launch and development of numerous programs at Tropian (now Panasonic). David serves as Vice President of the Wireless Communications Alliance, Co-Chair of the CommNexus Semiconductor SIG, and Strategic Advisor to the Personal Broadband Industry Association. He is an accomplished public speaker and has been quoted in several international publications including Chip Design, EETimes, and MRT magazines. David holds a BSEE from the University of California.
